Which wedding restroom setup should we choose?
Most Nashville weddings pick one of 3 setups: deluxe flushing units, a 2-station restroom trailer, or standard units with hand washing stations. Restroom trailers feel most like indoor bathrooms but need power and water, while deluxe flushing units need no hookups. Standard units plus stations cost the least.
| Feature | Deluxe flushing unit | Restroom trailer | Standard + hand wash |
|---|---|---|---|
| Toilet | Foot-pump flush | Flush toilets | Toilet seat + urinal |
| Hand washing | Foot-pump sink inside | Sinks with running water | Separate two-sided station |
| Mirror and lights | Mirror | Mirrors, lights, climate control | None |
| Hookups | None | 110V dedicated 20-amp circuit + garden hose | None |
| Space needed | About 44 × 48 in each | Level spot about 20 ft long + truck access | About 44 × 48 in each, plus stations |
| Best for | Barn and backyard weddings without power | Formal receptions and long evenings | Casual or budget-minded weddings |

How many restrooms do we need for our guest list?
For a 6-hour wedding with a bar, plan 4 units for 100 guests, 7 for 150, 8 for 200 and 10 for 250. The math is guests × hours ÷ 200, rounded up, plus 1 unit for every 4 because of alcohol. Make at least 1 unit wheelchair-accessible.
| Guests | Guest-hours ÷ 200 | Base units | Bar add-on | Total units | Hand wash stations (standard setup) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 100 | 600 ÷ 200 = 3 | 3 | +1 | 4 | 2 |
| 150 | 900 ÷ 200 = 4.5 | 5 | +2 | 7 | 4 |
| 200 | 1,200 ÷ 200 = 6 | 6 | +2 | 8 | 4 |
| 250 | 1,500 ÷ 200 = 7.5 | 8 | +2 | 10 | 5 |
The bar add-on is 1 unit per 4 base units, rounded up. Hand wash stations apply to a standard setup with food: 1 per 2 units, rounded up. Deluxe flushing units have their own sinks, so they don't need stations.
At least 5% of units in each cluster should be wheelchair-accessible, with a minimum of 1, under the 2010 ADA Standards §213.2, so confirm with your venue.

Where should wedding restrooms go at a barn, farm or backyard?
Set wedding restrooms on level ground a short, lit walk from the reception, close enough to find but far enough that doors face away from tables. A restroom trailer needs a level spot about 20 feet long, truck access, a dedicated 20-amp outlet and a garden-hose connection.
- Distance: near the reception, not beside the dinner tables or dance floor.
- Path lighting: string lights, lanterns or stake lights so guests can walk there after dark.
- Power: trailers need 110V on a dedicated 20-amp circuit, or a generator.
- Water: a garden hose to the trailer, or we fill its onboard fresh tank.
- Firm path: grass or gravel the truck can cross, with no soft spots after rain.

What hookups does a wedding bathroom trailer need?
A 2-station wedding bathroom trailer needs a standard 110V outlet on a dedicated 20-amp circuit, or a generator, plus a garden-hose water connection. If there's no spigot, we fill the onboard fresh-water tank. The trailer also needs a level spot about 20 feet long with truck access.
A shared outlet that also runs a band, lights or catering gear can trip the breaker. Ask your venue which outlet is on its own circuit before the wedding day.
When should we book wedding restrooms?
Book wedding restrooms as soon as your date and venue are set. Spring and fall Saturdays are peak wedding season in Nashville, and restroom trailers are the first units to fill. Cancellation is free up to 48 hours before delivery, so booking early carries little risk.
- Date and venue set. Book your units and trailer.
- A month out. Confirm final guest count, bar plans and the exact spot.
- Wedding week. Units arrive Thursday or Friday, clean and stocked.
- Monday. We pick everything up. The extra days cost nothing.
Questions before you book
What does a deluxe restroom setup cost for a 150-guest wedding?
A 6-hour, 150-guest wedding with a bar needs about 7 units. Six deluxe flushing units at $275–$425 each plus 1 wheelchair-accessible unit at $225–$350 comes to roughly $1,875–$2,900 before tax. Your itemized quote is final.
Can the restrooms arrive before our Friday rehearsal?
Wedding units usually drop Thursday or Friday and pick up Monday, and the extra days cost nothing. Ask for a Thursday drop if the rehearsal is on site. Saturday delivery is possible by request, but early drops leave more room for setup.
How many wheelchair-accessible units does a 200-guest wedding need?
A 200-guest, 6-hour wedding with a bar needs about 8 units. Five percent of 8 is 0.4, so the minimum of 1 wheelchair-accessible unit applies to each restroom cluster. Split clusters at a large farm venue need 1 each.
Who restocks the restrooms between the rehearsal dinner and the wedding?
Restroom trailers can get a between-day restock, and deluxe or standard units can add mid-event service. Either one refreshes paper, soap and towels before the ceremony. Attendant service is also available for a long reception.
Will the restrooms look nice enough for wedding photos?
Deluxe flushing units and restroom trailers are made for dressier events. Trailers have separate men's and women's entries, mirrors, lights and running water. Place units behind a hedge, barn corner or tent line to keep them out of the main photo angles.
Can the wedding restrooms be locked until the ceremony starts?
An exterior padlock hasp is available on request. That keeps units closed during setup days between delivery and the ceremony. The renter is responsible for loss or damage beyond normal use while units are on site.
